Funding for Hearing Aids

The Audiology Clinic of Northern Alberta will help you apply for funding you are eligible for from third-party funders. Major funders include:

Alberta Aids to Daily Living

  • Government of Alberta program
  • Seniors: 65 and older in Alberta are eligible for hearing aid funding, which is not dependent on income. ALL seniors are entitled to a certain amount of funding if they are 65 or older. Lower-income seniors may be eligible for further assistance and in combinations with Special Needs for Seniors Assistance.
  • Children: Qualify for certain amounts of funding from the Alberta government for hearing devices. The amount of funding depends on the family’s income and other factors.
  • Students: Full-time students ages 18 to 24 who are living at home are eligible for hearing aid funding.
  • Adults: Lower income adults may be eligible for hearing aid funding.

Workers’ Compensation Board

  • We are a trusted provider for all WCB’s across Canada.

Veterans’ Affairs Canada (VAC)

  • Government of Canada program
  • The ACNA is a provider for all VAC claimants.

Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)

  • Government of Canada program
  • The ACNA is a provider

Big Stone Health Commission

  • Government of Canada program
  • The ACNA is a provider

Private Insurance Plans

  • We can direct bill many different private health coverage plans. Just call and confirm your private coverage is on the list.
  • Some insurance plans require you to pay up front and submit your invoice for reimbursement.
